![]() wot do i need to do to let ppl play my games over the internet. can anybody give me some code i need to add? i have 2 computers next to me. both on the internet obviously. and i start a game on the Qnet server, and then i goto the other computer, and try and connect, but i see nothing. can anybody tell me wot i need to do? |

![]() ahhhhh i get it now. so its ok i worked it out. all i do is load questnet, then type the ip i want to connect to, then if they have the game loaded i can connect =) ok, well if anybody would like to connect to my game, my server is 192.168.0.30 (this is the server, not my actual computer) |

![]() The server will run 24/7. im not sure if you need the game file to play with me, but u can download the Ebersmile DEMO from the games archive on the site. =) |

![]() wait no i dont get this now lol. i can only connect to a local computer, but ppl who arnt on my network who want to connect cant, coz they cant connec to a class c (local) IP address..... =S |

![]() 192.168.*.* is a range of IP addresses which doesn't have a global meaning - it is used for implementing addresses on a local network only, and not the internet as a whole. This means that nobody else will be able to connect to your computer on that address, unless they are on the same local network as you. If you type "ipconfig" (in WinNT/2K/XP) or "winipcfg" (in Win95/98/ME), see if you have any other IP addresses defined which are not in this range, and then other people should be able to connect to those. |

![]() tried it, it just gives me 192.168.0.3 if you have a chat program we can talk (i.e MSN) and see if you can help me, it will be quicker that way. |

![]() i think it would be helpful for you (alex) if you actualy knew wot i have. i have blueyonder cable, and im on the network and i have a router. now, my sisters boyfriend said i need to find out the router IP or something, and then that will be the IP the ppl connect to. i dont know if you know about networks but its worth a try lol |
