Ray Pang, who designed the Axe Software logo, has designed a new Quest logo. You can see the current version as it would look on the Quest index page here:

Let me know what you think! This isn't the final logo, necessarily. It beats the current logo (designed by me) by miles though!

That Logo is pretty cool...
Can I just ask you Alex, what tool do you use to create you icon for your quest window?
(the Q).

I can't find a tool that properly has the transparent colour setting : (

I HAVE A QUESTION TOO lol, is there a program that lets you create setup screens, or do u have to program all that in yourself.... i want one for my game. :D (not the quest one)

I like this logo. It is very google-esque. :)
Evelsvia posted 30-08-2002 16:35 BST
hahaha wtf does google-esque mean? rofl

You can have a "splash" screen come up if you right click in the project window. Go into "Add ->" and select "Form". Then double click "splash screen".

That gives you a picture/whatever that comes up at the start of your prog.

There are a few programs that achieve the desired effect, such as Games Factory...you might be able to find a free one of the net somewhere if u look hard enuff. ;)

Ah, so you mean an installation program instead of a startup screen (misread...).
Yeah, you get programs to do that - I think VB6 has it automatically (distribution and deployment wizard) but I haven't used it so - meh!

Carlii:
Evelsvia commented on getting VB illegally. Remember we had a conversation in the chat forum where several posts were deleted (including mine - which was really pointing out that if you didn't know where to get it look around more) which were about Warez.
So either Alex hasn't read this yet, has got so bored of deleting posts he hasn't bothered, or has changed his polocies.

I haven't deleted the post because I can't be bothered. But this is not a forum for discussing "warez" so please DON'T.

We've now spent a while developing the new logo further. Let us know what you think of the "new new logo" please!

evelsia, "Google-esque" means having the qualities of Google. The long explanation is: Go to the Google website and take a look at their logo. It (The Quest logo at the time) reminds me of the Google logo.
Russell posted 10-09-2002 08:52 BST
Alex, I think the logo whose website you just posted looks really good! No longer "Google-esque" but better! Spiffy!!!
carlii posted 11-09-2002 06:15 BST
OMG that is really cool! Don't change it any further - that rocks! :o
Computer Whizz posted 11-09-2002 20:11 BST
