Most of the time when i try and use |xn (no new line) it doesn't work. Is there a bug with this? I'm doing everything correctly.

The |xn needs to be right at the end of the line you're printing - is it?

yes. I do it the same way every time, but sometimes to just displays xn in Quest. And I did use the |.

I've tried it and it works as I expect it to:
msg <Look at this, |xn>
msg <it's lovely.>

Make sure you're using the right "pipe" character. There are two - "|" and "�", and the latter won't work.

There's two? I'm using the one beside the backspace. Is that the right one? Hopefully you have the same type of keyboard as me.

I don't have a pipe character by my backspace key (this is a UK laptop keyboard). The correct pipe is on the same key as the backslash "\" for me.
