Author | Topic: And now it's time for the....... timer? |

![]() I was just messing around, looking in the .PDF file that MaDbRiT kindly did for us, when I came across the timer!! Good function if you want to print something or anything else but, as per usual, I wanted to do something funny and have a couple of questions to ask which I can not find. Where do I define any numeric/string variables? in the define game block? After it? I will now go off to my little corner, fool around with QDK and find that it works now!! bye... --Paul |

![]() That PDF file is a conversion of the Quest 3.0 documentation that comes with Quest 3.0 Beta 2, which is available for download. QDK 1.0x doesn't create Quest 3.0 games. You can define numeric or string variables in a startscript in the define game block. |

![]() Ahhhh, yes! I did try this before... and it didn't work. Guess what I left out of the file,,,,,,, the asl version <300>. After I altered this I fixed some syntax errors on my part and the timer test I did worked....... THANX BIG HUGS!!! but something even more wierd happened when I did that!! Quest 3.0 B2 upon loading the file, said that this file was for a newer version of Quest and that I should upgrade it?? but the asl-version IS 300.... any reason for this? :? --CW |

![]() asl-version should be 284 in Quest 3.0 Beta 2. |

![]() Oh, OK. I'll correct that and keep it in all my future asl's. Unless I design one for the public..... and that's going too far! thank you. --CW |
