To play a game with Quest, you can double-click on a Quest game or saved game from Windows Explorer, or you can start Quest from your Start menu.
You can download games for Quest from textadventures.co.uk.
The first time you run Quest, you will have no "favourite games" in the list and no saved games, so you should click the "Load a game" button. If you have downloaded a game from textadventures.co.uk, find it on your hard disk and click the "Open" button. You will be returned to the Quest Start window. At this point, you might want to add the file you just selected to the Favourites list, by clicking the "Add to Favourites" button. This will make the game easier to access next time you start Quest.
Start the game by clicking the "Play" button.
Once you've loaded a game, you will be presented with the main Quest window. You can navigate around and interact with the game using the arrow buttons and the "Places and Objects" box. You can also type in commands at the bottom of the window - type help for details on the kinds of commands you might be able to use in a game.
