I have been doing some work on my project lately and am wondering which one YOU the users' (hopefully) would like the colour (highlighting) settings to be like...

I am swinging towards one, with a certain aspect from the other - but please remember, these two pictures were done in 2 minutes and have NO code in them whatsoever, I'm waiting for feedback on good/bad idea's before I actually code this part.
Here are the pictures:
ONE:

This has a listbox, describing the highlighted text. The user can add/remove whatever they like. ALOT of customisability here... I missed out a couple of things I would have liked to include : Up/Down organisational buttons (to organise which was processed first), a sample text to show how it would look.

TWO:

This image has got a preview in it, but is pretty rigid in comparison to the first. The buttons make it look horrible - I didn't really capture the way I wanted to go but it gives a good idea.

It's pretty clear I like the first one best, and I think it has great customisability without getting confusing or lost in tab's and buttons (opening more windows to more tabs).

Oh - and Al (and anyone else with problems), if you can't get the pictures up (because you've said before you've had difficulty with my server) then I'll e-mail them to you if you wish.
The files *should* be:
www.roxor.freeserve.co.uk/Highlight1.gif and
www.roxor.freeserve.co.uk/Highlight2.gif
Don't forget it's case sensitive!!

That second one is horrible! Nested tabs - AND one of them being split across two rows - is a BAD idea.

The first one is a lot better, though I can't really see what it's supposed to do. What do the two tabs "General" and "Highlighting" mean?

As I thought - the first is the best.

General settings are for the general settings of the program... Highlighting is for the colours of the syntax.

I'll try anything... they all look good. I judge on skill levels though... I couldnt do any better, but I am blind in the way of ASL coding....It made no sence i bet...but i am hyper today, and my hands are shaking...
