Runtime Errors 440 and 372

Postby skayworth » Tue Apr 27, 2010 5:07 pm

I just installed Xlogan ver 2.0.2, and when I try to run the program, I first get a runtime error 440 message. I click "OK" on this messge, and then I immediately get a Runtime error 372 message along with the following:

"Failed to load control 'vbaExplorerBarCtl' from vbalExpBar6.ocx. Your version of vbalExpBar6.ocx may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application."

When I click OK on this error code the program stops trying to launch and the splash screen closes.

I have tried restarting the computer and also uninstalling and re-installing the software. I get the same error messages in all cases.

I would really like to try this software, so if there's a fix for this, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

I'm running Windows XP Pro SP3

Thank you!

Did you install the software as a user with admin rights?

Check the versions of vbalexpbar6.ocx and vbaliml6.ocx in your C:\Windows\system32 folder - vbalexpbar6.ocx should be v1.0.0.9 and vbaliml6.ocx should be v2.0.0.1.

Finally, try to re-register these by clicking Start, Run, then entering:

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\msvbvm60.dll

and then

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\vbalexpbar6.ocx

and then

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\vbaliml6.ocx

Let me know if you get any error messages when running these commands.

Thanks for your reply. I did as you instructed:

1. Yes....I installed with admin rights.
2. Both files are of the correct version
3. Re-registered the three files with no error messages.

Again tried to re-launch Xlogan and am still getting the same runtime errors.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

There should also be ssubtmr6.dll in your windows\system32 folder, with a version number of 1.1.0.3. Is that there? Could you also try regsvr32 on that file?

Yes....I do have that file, but it appears to be a little newer - version 1.1.0.4.

Doing a regserv32 on that file shows successful, but I'm still experiencing the same issue when I try to run the program.

Thanks
